The Department of English Language and Literature, Tzu Chi University held a special lecture in September and invited Associate Professor Huang, Rui-heng Ray from the D Department of Applied Foreign Languages at National Taipei University of Business to give a lecture. In this lecture, he introduced the six major concepts of linguistics: composition, syntax, phonology, phonetics, semantics, and pragmatics, combining the vocabulary often used in English and Chinese.

By using examples of everyday language use, we can increase our understanding of the subtleties of language. This will enable the audience to understand linguistics in an easy-to-understand way.
