What is the most desirable power that women want? In the story of The Wife of Bath, the woman becomes a beauty in the end because her husband gives her the discretion. What most women want is to have the right to control everything around them.<\/p>\n

The theme of this movie is control. Amy's\u00a0parents control Amy, and Amy controls her husband and ex-boyfriends. After leaving her husband, Amy is controlled by her neighbors in a small town, and Amy is unwillingly controlled by her past pursuer. Finally, when Amy comes back to find her husband, she controls him again. In this movie, all the \"controls\" reveal the truest side of human nature. \u00a0Most of us\u00a0have the desire of control, especially women under patriarchal society, but we often repress this desire.
